André 3000 Is Starring in a Sci-Fi Movie With Robert Pattinson, Who Is Really Good Now
This one looks promising.
My favorite movie of the summer was Good Time, a twisted caper which offered a glimpse into the underbelly of Queens and moved with the frenzied pace of an off-the-rails Breaking Bad episode. Surprisingly, one of the best parts about the movie, was a tortured, career-making turn from Robert Pattinson, almost unrecognizable from his days as an early-20s heartthrob. So it comes as good news that André 3000 is signing on for a new sci-fi movie with Pattinson, who's fresh off the most exciting work of his life.
Variety reports that André has been cast in High Life, a new film from French director Claire Denis. For her English-language debut, the acclaimed director of White Material and 35 Shots of Rum has also roped in the goddess Juliette Binoche and Mia Goth. It reportedly follows a group of convicts who reduce their time behind bars in exchange for embarking on a risky mission to a black hole, and I've already tried pre-ordering my ticket.
André hasn't stayed away from the screen as of late; he appeared on the second season of ABC's American Crime last year, and recently starred as Jimi Hendrix in the controversial biopic Jimi: All Is by My Side.
